Job summary

Wiley is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to drive data-driven decision making through end-to-end ETL, Power BI dashboards, and advanced analytics. You will partner with leaders across the organization to translate complex data into actionable insights and shape reporting strategies.

The role requires strong technical skills in SQL, Power BI, ETL, and BigQuery, plus the ability to mentor analysts and lead BI projects within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Four or more years of relevant experience in a business intelligence or data analytics role.
• Working proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and ETL processes.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn data into a business story.
• Additional certifications in business intelligence tools and systems.
• Direct experience with BigQuery or a comparable cloud data warehouse.
• Prior experience training or mentoring other analysts.
• Experience leading or overseeing business intelligence projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end to end ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading, to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data used for analysis.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards in Microsoft Power BI that give the leadership team clear, data driven visualizations to support decision-making.
• Use SQL and BigQuery to run complex data queries and analyses, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational and business improvements.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements, share insights, and support data driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Communicate technical concepts and analytical findings clearly, adjusting the message for different audiences, including executives and team members.
• Coach and mentor team members on best practices in data analysis, ETL processes, and dashboard development to build a strong, collaborative team.
