Job summary

Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP, a San Francisco-based CPA and consulting firm, seeks a Benefits Manager to administer the firm’s benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and wellness plans.

You will work closely with the HR Director to manage benefits and wellness initiatives across multiple offices. The role involves serving as the primary benefits contact, ensuring enrollment accuracy in HRIS, and maintaining compliance with ERISA, COBRA, and ACA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field.
• 3–5 years in benefits administration.
• Experience with UKG; Workday preferred.
• Experience with Cocoon or other leave administrators.
• CEBS designation a plus.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, and ACA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for employees and respond to benefits inquiries.
• Provide customer service support to carriers and third party administrators.
• Interpret FMLA/ADA implications relating to leaves of absence/disabilities and partner with leave administrators to process LOAs.
• Administer the firm's workers' compensation program and ergonomic requests.
• Ensure accuracy of benefits enrollments in HRIS for vendor eligibility information.
• Process life events within HRIS.
• Ensure timely billing reconciliation, reporting and fees.
• Develop communication tools to explain the benefits package.
• Oversee maintenance of employee benefits, HRIS, and payroll records.
• Assist with orientations and open enrollment with materials for stakeholders.
• Partner with payroll to perform benefits data quality checks.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including reporting for carriers.
• Collaborate with HR leadership to align programs with goals and needs.
• Conduct regular audits of benefit plans for accuracy and effectiveness.
• Other duties as assigned.
