Job summary

Consigli Construction is seeking a Senior Benefits and Wellness Manager to lead strategy, design, administration, and compliance of the company’s benefits programs in Milford, MA. You will collaborate with the HR Operations team to develop comprehensive programs that attract, engage, and retain talent.

The role requires managing medical, dental, disability, life, and wellness initiatives, while ensuring regulatory compliance and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Benefits and/or HR.
• 3+ years managing a benefits function or working for a benefits firm or outsourcing company.
• Knowledgeable in employee health and insurance, retirement benefits design, regulatory environment, and wellness initiatives.
• Experience with ERISA, ACA, and regulatory reporting.
• Strong communication and confidentiality skills.
• Ability to manage external vendors and RFP processes.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Partner in development and implementation of new health and welfare initiatives with the business to build a wellness culture and optimize healthcare costs.
• Manage day-to-day activities of plan offerings including medical, dental, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, etc.
• Create the annual benefits program package with recommendations to senior management for plan design.
• Manage fiduciary obligations and respond to ERISA benefit claims and inquiries; assist in regulatory reporting.
• Manage vendors responsible for day-to-day plan administration to ensure compliance with plan terms and laws (ERISA, IRS).
• Coordinate with third-party enrollment provider and update online platform for new plan year; conduct system testing.
• Lead the annual open enrollment process and develop communications and materials.
• Create and distribute employee benefits communications during and outside Open Enrollment.
• Monitor costs and effectiveness of benefit programs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage all vendor relations as primary contact.
