Job summary

AM General seeks an experienced Benefits Administrator to lead and coordinate comprehensive benefit programs for our workforce across manufacturing and office environments. You will ensure plan performance, compliance, cost effectiveness, and timely reporting, while balancing business needs with employee satisfaction.

You will manage vendor relationships, enrollment processing, communications, leave programs, and retiree health care administration, partnering with Corporate Finance and the HRIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR or related field preferred.
• Five years or more years of experience in benefit administration with prior experience with defined benefit plans preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and high level of initiative.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of ERISA, FMLA, ACA and COBRA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and management of AM General’s benefit programs and lead in balancing needs of the company and employees.
• Design and develop plan changes to ensure competitive and cost-effective benefits.
• Manage vendor relationships and renewal processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.
• Advise employees on eligibility provisions and benefit questions.
• Oversee open enrollment and data entry, including communication pieces and data transfer.
