Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas, TX is seeking a Manager of Benefits and Leave to lead multi-functional efforts in health, welfare, and leave programs. This role reports to the Director of Benefits and focuses on strategic direction, administration, and compliance with federal and state laws.

The position requires developing, negotiating, and communicating program changes, mentoring staff, and acting as HR operations SME across the organization.

Qualifications

• Education requirement as stated: Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above minimum.
• Experience: 7 years of experience as noted in the qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coach, and mentor staff to build a high-performance team.
• Serve as SME for all leave of absence cases with stakeholders and vendors.
• Evaluate program effectiveness using data to drive improvements.
• Develop benefits communications for annual enrollment and year-round changes.
• Review and update plan descriptions and policies for accurate administration.
• Ensure timely and accurate federal and state government filings.
• Perform HR activities including interviewing, hiring recommendations, orientation, evaluation, and coaching.
