Job summary

Avecia Pharma is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager for the East Coast and EU to maintain key client relationships and prospect new clients to grow market share and meet sales budgets. The role requires negotiating deals, preparing proposals with internal stakeholders, and using market knowledge to present pricing and value.

Travel across the territory is required, with opportunities to participate in trade shows and conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of industry relevant business development, sales, or marketing experience.
• Experience and knowledge of cGMP API manufacturing.
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
• Outgoing, energetic, self-motivated, and able to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Grow and retain existing client accounts and continuously improve the relationship.
• Prospect for new potential clients and convert them into accounts.
• Develop and deliver proposals that meet clients needs, address concerns, and achieve objectives.
• Understand MAV financial goals and pricing models to prepare client proposal pricing.
• Maintain territory demand and sales data in CRM and other databases.
• Plan sales approaches and use persuasive techniques to represent the company well.
• Leverage market and competitor knowledge to identify opportunities and differentiators.
• Pursue face-to-face appointments with clients and participate in trade shows and conferences.
