Job summary

Sundt is seeking a Business Development Director to lead regional growth in the Tampa area. You will own the BD lifecycle from lead to pursuit and mentor the BD team, working with Marketing, Operations, and partners to win complex projects.

Build relationships with owners, engineers, OEMs, and vendors, represent Sundt at events, and ensure CRM data and market intelligence guide strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of BD/marketing experience in construction or related industry
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Experience leading competitive qualification-based pursuits or large procurements
• Strong leadership and strategic planning skills
• Extensive knowledge of construction markets and delivery methods
• Proven track record of business development success
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional and sector-specific BD strategies and tactical plans.
• Lead client, partner, and market-development efforts with owners, design engineers, OEMs, vendors, and partners.
• Own opportunity management from lead through qualification, prioritization, and pursuit progression.
• Prepare opportunity overviews, Go/No-Go discussions, and Capture Plans.
• Coordinate pursuit readiness with internal teams, including licensing, contracts, and risk reviews.
• Lead regional BD operating cadence and contribute to enterprise BD meetings.
• Ensure accurate CRM data, market intelligence, and competitive intelligence to guide growth.
