Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Senior Sales Estimator in the United States to drive accurate cost estimates for complex BAS and building controls projects. You’ll bridge Sales, Engineering, and Operations to maximize win rates and profitability.

You will mentor junior estimators, optimize estimating workflows, and deliver value‑engineered options while maintaining alignment with market conditions and client needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or completion of an accredited trade or technical school program
• 5+ years of BAS, HVAC, or Building Controls experience
• 3+ years of direct estimating for commercial BAS or mechanical controls projects, including reading complex blueprints, MEP drawings, control schematics, and bid specs

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for owner-direct and construction-based projects, covering hardware, software, and labor
• Deep dive into control schematics and bid documents to define scope and reduce risk
• Create detailed scope letters and proposals with best value‑engineered options
• Solicit and qualify pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
• Partner with Sales leadership and Operations to align pricing strategies with market conditions and business objectives
• Provide clear, accurate documentation and participate in turnover meetings to set execution teams up for success
