Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Senior Sales Estimator within Automated Logic to lead detailed cost estimates for complex building projects. You will bridge Sales, Engineering, and Operations to ensure accurate proposals and favorable competitiveness.

You will mentor junior staff, optimize estimating workflows, and drive profitable outcomes while maintaining strong vendor relationships and clear stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of experience in Building Automation (BAS), HVAC, or Controls.
• 3+ years of direct estimating experience within BAS/HVAC/Controls.

Responsibilities

• Architect Detailed Estimates: Develop comprehensive cost estimates for owner-direct and construction-based projects, including hardware, software, and labor.
• Translate Specifications: Interpret control schematics and bid documents to define project scope and reduce risk.
• Build the Solution: Create detailed scope letters and proposals with value-engineered options for customers.
• Cultivate Vendor Partnerships: Gather pricing from subcontractors and suppliers for best market support.
• Drive Strategic Alignment: Align pricing strategies with Sales leadership and Operations.
• Ensure Seamless Handoffs: Provide clear documentation and support turnover meetings for execution teams.
