Job summary

Automated Logic, part of Carrier, seeks a Senior Sales Estimator to anchor our estimating process for large building projects. You will transform complex bids into accurate cost models, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to maximize win rates and profitability.

Ideal candidates have extensive BAS/MEP estimates experience, read blueprints, and drive value through smart scope letters and effective vendor negotiations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC, or Building Controls.
• 3+ years of direct, hands-on estimating experience for commercial BAS or mechanical controls projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for owner-direct and construction-based projects.
• Deep dive into control schematics and bid documents to define project scope and reduce risk.
• Create detailed scope letters and proposals with value-engineered options.
• Solicit and qualify pricing from subcontractors and suppliers to secure best support.
• Partner with Sales leadership and Operations to align pricing strategies with market conditions.
• Provide clear documentation and participate in turnover meetings to set up execution teams.
