Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking a project employee to assist with Accounts Payable Strategic Projects, supporting Oracle AP and Coupa systems in a governed framework. The role sits in the Procurement Operations - Accounts Payable group under the Financial Strategic Planning Department Americas Division, collaborating with Corporate Accounting, Bank Accounting, Procurement, HR, and subsidiaries.

The candidate will lead strategic A/P projects, manage intercompany allocations, coordinate month-end entries,

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, A/P, A/R, Fixed Asset, and month-end closing.
• Experience with ERP implementations and analytics tools (Alteryx, PowerBI, Excel).
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic A/P projects from planning through implementation.
• Coordinate intercompany allocations and month-end processes.
• Support ERP system enhancements and testing.
