Databricks Inc. is seeking a Lead Counsel to support strategic technology partnerships and specialized initiatives.

You will report to the VP & Associate General Counsel, Strategic Alliances & Integration, and lead legal support for complex technology transactions across global partnerships. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience at a recognized law firm or high-tech in-house team, with strong expertise in AI model platforms, open source licensing, and multi-party deal

Qualifications

At least 10 years of legal experience in a top law firm or high-tech in-house setting.
J.D. from a top-tier law school and state bar in good standing.
Deep experience with AI/model platform technology contracts and partnerships (open source and proprietary).
Familiarity with open source licensing models (Apache 2.0, MIT, etc.).
Experience partnering across OEM, resale, and marketplace transactions.

Responsabilités

Lead and manage all legal aspects of strategic technology transactions, including term sheets and negotiations.
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Finance, Security, Procurement, Legal) and drive deal processes.
Develop new partnering motions and scalable templates for the strategic partner practice.
