Databricks Inc. in the Seattle/Bellevue area (hybrid) is seeking a Lead Counsel to supervise strategic technology partnerships and related initiatives.

You will negotiate term sheets, manage deal processes, and draft complex agreements, engaging with cross-functional teams including Product, Finance, Security, and GTM Legal. The role requires a hands-on, collaborative leader with a proven track record in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience at a nationally recognized law firm or in-house legal department at a high-tech company.
• J.D. from a top-tier law school and a member in good standing of a state bar.
• Understanding of AI/foundation model platform technology and contract models, with experience in open source and proprietary tech partnerships.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage all legal aspects of selected Strategic Alliance technology transactions, including term sheet negotiations, deal processes, and document drafting.
• Coordinate engagement from cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Finance, Security, Procurement, Legal) and drive deal closing with governance oversight.
• Develop new partnering motions, scalable processes, and templates to support Databricks' strategic partner practice.
