Job summary

Evolent seeks a Senior Project Manager, Strategic Initiatives to lead day-to-day delivery of AI-enabled workflows and ensure disciplined execution across multiple initiatives. You will partner across functions to operationalize AI agents, manage risks, and drive adoption while maintaining governance and compliance standards.

The role requires strong change management, KPI tracking, and experience with AI or intelligent workflow projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 5-7+ years of project management experience.
• Experience managing cross-functional, technology-enabled implementations and process improvement initiatives.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-moving environment.
• Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, waterfall, or hybrid).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience defining and tracking KPIs to monitor delivery progress and outcomes.
• PM certification (PMP, CAPM, Agile, SAFe, or equivalent) preferred.
• Change management training or certification (Prosci, CCMP, or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience supporting implementations of generative AI, machine learning, automation, or intelligent workflow solutions.
• Healthcare, payer, provider, utilization management, or regulated industry experience preferred.
• Experience with process mapping, workflow design, or Lean Six Sigma could be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of AI-enabled workflow implementations, managing project plans, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple parallel initiatives.
• Partner cross-functionally to lead the operationalization of AI agents and human-AI operating models, ensuring a sequenced rollout plan with stage gates, go/no-go criteria, and monitoring.
• Lead change management strategy and execution, ensuring end-user readiness and adoption activities, including standard operating procedures, job aids, training sessions, and communications.
• Define and track AI agent implementation performance, adoption, operational outcomes, and key success metrics; provide leadership reporting and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions, escalating concerns and recommending mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track.
• Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, and working sessions; drive accountability for action items, decisions, and deliverables across stakeholders.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and the business to ensure projects adhere to governance, compliance, privacy, security, and responsible AI requirements.
• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous process improvement across future AI agent implementations.
