Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Principal AI Architect to lead AI architecture across Aetna Technology. You will define reference architectures, multi-model orchestration, and guardrails to enable scalable, responsible AI at scale.

You will guide teams through design reviews, partner with Enterprise Architecture, and drive ROI-focused outcomes while shaping the paved-road for model and agent development across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in technology with hands-on AI/ML platform experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of model serving, orchestration, and evaluation on cloud platforms.
• Ownership of AI reference architectures and paved-road patterns.
• Experience designing agentic systems with API and MCP integration.
• Strong grounding in responsible AI, model evaluation, and guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI reference architectures and paved road for model and agent development.
• Define agentic architecture and reusable skills layer across journeys.
• Embed guardrails, evaluation, and safety controls into the paved road.
• Define measurements tying AI investment to outcomes and ROI.
• Contribute to architecture governance and evaluate emerging models/tools.
