CVS Health is seeking a Principal AI Architect to lead AI architecture for Aetna Technology. You will define reference architectures, model serving patterns, and governance for multi-model and agentic workloads.

In this senior IC role, you will set technical direction, drive design authority, and collaborate with platform teams to enable scalable, responsible AI across cloud environments while aligning with business outcomes and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in technology with AI/ML platform architecture experience.
• Hands-on experience with model serving and orchestration.
• Experience designing agentic systems and API/MCP patterns.
• Strong focus on responsible AI and guardrails.
• Healthcare or regulated industry background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own AI reference architectures, model serving, and multi-model orchestration.
• Define agentic architecture and reusable skills layer.
• Design API-first integration and MCP patterns.
• Embed guardrails and safety controls into paved road.
• Define instrumentation tying AI investment to outcomes.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and platform teams.
