Job summary

Lyra Health is seeking an experienced engineering leader to spearhead the execution of Lyra's machine learning roadmap. You will scale and mentor a high-impact AI/ML engineering team, ensuring production-grade systems with clinical precision and high availability.

The ideal candidate excels in balancing long-term technical strategy with hands-on people leadership, developing talent, and cultivating operational excellence within an AI-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in engineering management leading ML/AI teams in production.
• Strong ability to develop technical talent and build a collaborative team culture.
• Experience balancing long-term technical strategy with day-to-day people leadership.
• Deep ML/AI domain expertise: transformers, neural networks, fine-tuning.
• Operational excellence in ML SDLC, deployment of microservices at scale.
• Cloud architecture experience on AWS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate technical growth through weekly 1:1s, performance management, and defined career trajectories for ML engineers.
• Drive quarterly planning lifecycle for AI/ML workstreams aligned with business objectives.
• Establish an inclusive, high-performance engineering culture with strong technical standards.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Data Science to translate clinical requirements into safe production models.
• Maintain high technical standards through design reviews and Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Provide strategic architectural guidance to scale the team's impact.
