Lyra Health, Inc. is seeking a strategic engineering leader to spearhead the execution of Lyra's machine learning roadmap. You will scale and mentor a high-impact AI/ML engineering team, ensuring production-grade systems with clinical precision and high availability.

The ideal candidate balances long-term technical strategy with hands-on people leadership, developing talent, partnering cross-functionally, and cultivating operational excellence within an AI-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in engineering management, leading and scaling ML/AI teams in production environments.
• Exceptional people leadership: develop technical talent, manage performance, build a collaborative team culture.
• Strategic mindset: balance long-term strategy and governance with day-to-day leadership.
• Deep ML/AI domain expertise: transformers, neural networks, fine-tuning, guide others in these domains.
• Operational excellence: mastery of ML SDLC, dataset lineage, automated evaluation, deploying microservices at scale.
• Cloud architecture: strong experience with AWS or equivalent cloud providers.
• Strategic communication: distill ambiguous problems into clear priorities and influence cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-impact ML/AI engineering team.
• Drive quarterly planning and alignment of AI/ML workstreams with business objectives.
• Foster an inclusive, high-performance engineering culture with knowledge sharing and rigorous standards.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Data Science to translate clinical requirements into production-ready models.
• Oversee ML SDLC, design reviews, and evolution from research to production microservices on Kubernetes.
• Provide architectural leadership to scale the team's impact and technical reach.
