Job summary

Fin, now part of Salesforce, is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to bridge customer needs and product innovation. You will work hands-on with strategic customers, shaping project delivery and influencing roadmaps across R&D and GTM teams.

This role can be based in San Francisco or Chicago, with a hybrid on-site model. You’ll own technical delivery, collaborate across Sales, Success and Product, and help scale the engineering team by codifying best practices from customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background with real‑world software experience.
• Interest in AI/ML and ability to learn novel problems quickly.
• Cross‑functional collaboration skills to work across teams.
• Proficiency in at least one high‑level language (JavaScript, Python, or Ruby).
• Ability to prototype and ship software quickly with quality & business outcomes.
• Willingness to travel and work on‑site with customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of Fin and help customers unlock AI capabilities to automate and scale support operations.
• Embed with strategic customers to understand business challenges and provide insights to achieve results.
• Collaborate with customers' technical teams as a technical expert, coding hands-on to drive projects to completion.
• Work with Sales, Success and Product teams to ensure seamless experiences and gather feedback.
• Contribute to evolving Forward Deployed Engineering with best practices and insights from engagements.
