Job summary

Sonoma State University seeks an Administrative Analyst to perform varied administrative, technical and analytical duties, including record management, operations and budget preparation for Chemistry and Physics/Astronomy. You will support faculty, staff, students and community with policy interpretation, requiring independent judgement and cross-functional collaboration.

The role is full-time, non-exempt, with potential for permanent status after probation.

Qualifications

• This position requires a bachelor's degree and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
• Two years of experience in office administration is preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency of computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) required.
• Knowledge of Google Suite, Drupal, and PeopleSoft preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform varied administrative, technical and analytical duties including record management, operations and procedures.
• Manage course scheduling processes and budget preparation and control for multiple departments.
• Serve as the main resource for faculty, staff, students, and community on policy interpretation and practice.
• Provide information, historical background and rationales, exercising independent judgement when needed.
