Job summary

Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) seeks a Strategic Account Manager to oversee select rightsholder accounts, drive revenue growth, and expand product enrollment in scholarly communications and AI offerings. You will engage executives and stakeholders, build durable relationships, and advocate CCC solutions across the organization.

The role requires travel within the US, strong communication skills, and deep industry knowledge to deliver measurable outcomes for CCC and its clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years account management experience.
• Publishing industry and Rights and Licensing knowledge and experience.
• Sales experience preferred, along with Business Development interest and capabilities.
• Confident and skilled at building relationships.
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including C-suite executives globally.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to travel and represent the company externally.

Responsibilities

• Acts in an advisory capacity to multiple levels of contacts within a small defined list of Rightsholder Accounts ensuring relationship and revenue needs are met.
• Extends the network with identified personas within the assigned client base and educates rightsholders on CCC value.
• Creates and delivers quarterly or biannual Strategic Alignment Meetings and participates in readouts to internal stakeholders.
• Evaluates and validates rightsholder needs to identify sales leads for CCC services and increase revenue and operational efficiencies.
• Meets assigned targets for Revenue, Inventory and other business objectives as defined by the Director.
• Maintains deep knowledge of CCC’s products and services, especially AI and scholarly communications offerings, to drive adoption and client outcomes.
• Leads internal alignment and streamlined CCC communications for rightsholders.
