Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead inventory, fixed assets, and lease accounting with strong US GAAP and internal controls. You will oversee monthly closes, drive process improvements, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally blend of public and industry accounting.
• Strong experience with inventory and fixed asset accounting.
• Lease accounting experience preferred.
• Leadership experience including offshore/shared service resources preferred.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Experience in a complex ERP environment.
• CPA highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and reporting for inventory, fixed assets, and lease accounting.
• Review reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues.
• Manage inventory reserves, adjustments, write-offs, and related accounting activities.
• Oversee capitalization, depreciation, impairments, and disposals for fixed assets.
• Lead accounting for right-of-use assets and lease liabilities.
• Partner with operations, finance, and other business leaders to support accurate reporting and forecasting.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for assigned areas.
• Maintain strong internal controls and support external audit requirements.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, with a focus on automation and scalability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop offshore accounting team members.
