Job summary

Victra, a Durham-based company, is seeking an Accounting Manager for Inventory & Non-Current Assets. You will own end-to-end inventory accounting, oversee fixed assets/CIP, and manage lease accounting under ASC 842 in a high-control environment.

You will lead a small offshore accounting team, partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and FP&A, and ensure close accuracy and audit readiness under US GAAP. CPA preferred; hybrid work in Durham, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with specialized expertise in inventory and fixed asset accounting.
• Direct, hands-on experience with lease accounting (ASC 842) / ROU assets.
• Prior leadership experience, including managing offshore or shared services accounting teams.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and internal control frameworks.
• Hands-on proficiency with major ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) with subledger complexity.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end inventory accounting across the full lifecycle, including capitalization, reserves, adjustments, write-offs, obsolescence, and period-end valuation.
• Oversee accounting for fixed assets and CIP, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, impairments, and disposals.
• Own accounting operations for operating and finance leases, including ROU assets, lease liabilities, amortization, remeasurements, and modifications per ASC 842.
• Review and approve detailed account reconciliations, subledger-to-general ledger rollforwards, and schedule tie-outs for audit readiness.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities across inventory, fixed assets, and lease schedules.
