Job summary

Veloxis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Cary, NC seeks a Manager, Inventory Accounting to drive GAAP/IFRS-compliant inventory accounting, close processes, and cost of goods sold analyses. You will partner with Supply Chain, manage standard costing, and support audits and ERP upgrades.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting with 3+ years in inventory accounting, CPA preferred, and strong Excel/ERP experience. This on-site role offers hybrid work arrangements and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; Master’s degree a plus.
• 5+ years in an accounting role, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in inventory accounting.
• CPA preferred.
• Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft D365 F&O or similar Microsoft-based ERP system (AX or Great Plains).
• Past experience in a virtual manufacturing environment, including CMOs/CDMOs/3PL partners a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS, a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with process improvement mindset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities to meet tight month-end deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with emphasis on advanced MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Abides by GAAP/IFRS standards and internal policies.
• Performs inventory-related general ledger reconciliations and journal entries for close.
• Partners with Supply Chain to review inventory costing methodologies and updates.
• Monitors landed cost components for accurate accounting and valuation.
• Leads annual physical inventory procedures and variance reconciliation.
• Supports supplier invoicing discrepancies to ensure accurate valuation.
• Leads budgeting and forecasting for inventory-related items.
• Performs monthly variance analyses vs. budget for inventory results.
• Assists with audit processes related to inventory and SOX.
