Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on ownership of the monthly close.
• Strong command of GAAP, including ASC 606, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Experience with project-based accounting: job costing, WIP, and over/under billings.
• Experience running close and reporting across multiple entities or subsidiaries.
• Comfort with accounting systems (QB, Sage Intacct, ServiceTitan) and rapid learning of new tools.
• Strong Excel and modeling skills.
• Self-directed and able to bring structure to ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly close process with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Manage project accounting: revenue recognition, job costing, WIP, and inventory.
• Prepare monthly financial package and variance analysis for leadership.
• Record, reconcile, and settle intercompany activity with regional teams.
• Build and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Maintain internal controls and support annual audit, with PBC schedules.
• Lead budget preparation and KPI tracking.
• Develop and document close, AP/AR, payroll, and reporting processes; support ERP implementations.
• Lead and develop accounting staff and guide through system/process changes.
