Job summary

Cobalt Service Partners is seeking an Accounting Manager to own day-to-day accounting operations for a single operating company, including close, reporting, controls, payroll oversight, and audit support. The role is hands-on and partner-facing with the regional finance team; revenue recognition and job costing are central due to project-based work.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on ownership of the monthly close.
• Strong command of GAAP, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Experience running close and reporting across multiple entities, branches, or subsidiaries.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and ServiceTitan; ability to learn new systems.
• CPA preferred; public accounting foundation valued.

Responsibilities

• Run the monthly close for a single operating company and deliver timely, accurate reporting.
• Manage project accounting including revenue recognition, job costing, and inventory where applicable.
• Prepare financial packages, variance analyses, and a 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Maintain controls, budgets, KPIs, and regulatory compliance.
• Support ERP implementations and integrations with the regional finance team.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff, ensuring payroll accuracy, AR, and AP.
