Job summary

Cobalt Service Partners is building a leading commercial access and security integration business across North America. We seek an experienced Accounting Manager to own monthly closes, financial reporting, and project accounting for a growing portfolio of operating companies.

The role is hands-on, collaborating with regional finance, handling revenue recognition, job costing, and cash flow forecasting, while developing the accounting team and ensuring strong controls and compliant processes.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on ownership of the monthly close.
• Strong command of GAAP, with reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Experience running close and reporting across multiple entities, branches, or subsidiaries.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and learning new tools quickly.
• Proficient in Excel and data-modeling; able to structure ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Close & reporting: perform monthly close, deliver accurate flash, improve speed/accuracy.
• Project accounting: manage revenue recognition and job costing for projects; inventory management where applicable.
• Reporting & forecasting: assemble financial packages and variance analysis; manage 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Maintain and improve controls, budgets, KPIs; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support ERP implementations and integrations with regional finance teams.
• Lead and develop accounting staff; ensure accurate payroll, AR, and AP.
