Job summary

Cobalt Service Partners is seeking an Accounting Manager to own the day-to-day accounting for a single operating company, including monthly close, reporting, and controls. This hands-on role focuses on project-based revenue recognition, job costing, and cash flow management, collaborating with the regional finance team.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with ERP tools like QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and ServiceTitan.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on ownership of the monthly close.
• Strong command of GAAP, reconciliations, accruals and financial reporting.
• Experience running close and reporting across multiple entities, branches, or subsidiaries.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, ServiceTitan) and ability to learn new ones.
• Strong Excel and data-modeling skills; ability to bring structure to ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Close & reporting: Run the monthly close and deliver accurate flash reports.
• Project accounting: Manage revenue recognition and job costing for projects.
• Reporting & forecasting: Prepare financial package and 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Maintain and improve controls, budgets and KPIs; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support ERP implementations and integrations with the regional finance team.
• Lead and develop accounting staff; oversee payroll, AR, and AP.
