Job summary

Hunt Military Communities is seeking a Director of Accounting to lead the accounting team and oversee financial reporting for a portfolio of military housing PPP properties.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting with CPA preferred and at least 7 years of accounting experience. You will manage audits, ensure GAAP compliance, and coordinate with auditors, management, and property teams to deliver accurate statements and disclosures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
• At least 7 years of accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and provide analysis for monthly loan draws and financial reporting packages for business partners.
• Update and maintain project proformas with monthly data for projections.
• Lead the annual audits of military housing PPP properties.
• Prepare year-end financial statements and footnotes, including GAAP disclosures.
• Incorporate new FASB ASUs and update financial statements accordingly.
• Coordinate with auditors and internal teams to address questions and findings.
• Meet internal deadlines for audits and timely delivery of reports to military branches.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages with management partners.
• Collaborate with Property Management and Asset Management to ensure timely delivery.
• Review variance analyses and respond to inquiries from multiple stakeholders.
• Partner with Hunt Property Management on budgets and consolidated reporting.
• Support consolidation issues with Corporate Accounting and intercompany reconciliation.
• Provide audit support data and cash flow projections for debt coverage analysis.
• Account for complex transactions related to military housing properties.
