Job summary

Hunt Military Housing Shared Services, LLC is seeking an Accountant to support the accounting function, including journal entry preparation, GL analysis, and monthly reporting. The role ensures compliance with GAAP and enhances internal controls across financial transactions.

You will work with data from property and business units, prepare reconciliations, assist with audits, and contribute to timely financial statements and reports for internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA or CPA eligible preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience required.
• Experience with Yardi, Workday, or other ERP system preferred.
• Experience in real estate industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains data and documentation to prepare and analyze journal entries on GAAP and tax basis.
• Prepares and reviews account reconciliation schedules to ensure accurate posting.
• Reviews/approves cash posting by Accounting Clerk.
• Prepares and reviews general ledger coding for cash entries, fixed assets, AP, reclassifications, and wire transfers.
• Ensures timely completion of accounting checklists.
• Prepares and analyzes support for monthly reporting and loan draw packages.
