Job summary

Hunt Military Communities is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead accounting, funding administration, and financial reporting for its development and construction portfolio. You will work with the Development Project Management team, serving as the financial control point among contractors, lenders, and trustees.

The role requires 4–6 years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or comparable ERP systems. CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience, preferably corporate accounting and reporting.
• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or other large ERP systems.
• Experience with construction draw packages and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, reviews, and submits monthly construction draw requests and lien documents.
• Maintains log of funding conditions and resolves items on schedule.
• Reconciles draws to budget, contract sum, and schedule of values; resolves variances.
• Coordinates with lenders, title companies, and inspectors on draw certification and timing.
• Owns contract sum reconciliation and keeps audit trail for changes.
• Prepares monthly budget-to-actual reporting with variance explanations.
