Job summary

Hunt Military Communities seeks an Accountant to support timely and accurate financial reporting, including journal entries, GL analysis, reconciliations, and monthly statements. The role emphasizes GAAP compliance and internal controls, with collaboration across departments.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA eligible preferred; 1 year of accounting experience and ERP familiarity (Yardi/Workday) are valued.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or CPA eligible preferred.
• 1 year accounting experience required for Accountant role.

Responsibilities

• Obtains data to prepare and analyze journal entries on GAAP and tax basis.
• Prepares/reviews general ledger and account reconciliation schedules.
• Reviews/approves cash postings and general ledger coding.
• Ensures timely completion of accounting checklists.
• Supports monthly reporting and loan draw packages.
• Assists in monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and reports.
• Monitors budgets and analyzes variances.
• Provides support for audits and internal controls.
