Job summary

Forvis Mazars US is seeking a seasoned Accounting Advisory Services leader to guide client engagements and lead project teams on complex accounting initiatives. You will partner with C-suite executives and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions across SEC, GAAP, and regulatory matters.

You will mentor staff, drive business development, and shape engagement strategies while maintaining exceptional client service in a national practice context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years or more of relevant experience.
• Strong proven technical expertise in financial accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, M&A, or financial operations.
• CPA License.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for C-suite and senior client executives, providing strategic guidance and executive-level presentations.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities to expand services.
• Develop engagement strategies and lead execution of complex accounting and finance advisory engagements.
• Perform and review technical accounting research and advise on GAAP, SEC, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead engagements involving complex transactions including IPOs, SPACs, mergers and acquisitions.
• Oversee engagement quality and ensure deliverables meet expectations.
• Identify and proactively resolve engagement challenges and risks with leadership input.
• Lead, mentor, and develop project teams with coaching and feedback.
• Support business development through proposals, scoping, pricing, and client relationship management.
