Job summary

Forvis Mazars US is seeking an experienced audit professional to join our Assurance team. You will lead planning and execution of audits, coordinate fieldwork, and ensure adherence to professional standards and client expectations.

Key qualifications include a CPA license, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and at least 5 years of audit experience. You must be proficient in GAAP, able to mentor staff, travel as needed, and contribute to client growth and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant audit experience.
• Current and valid CPA license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel for client engagements and internal meetings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute audit engagements with effective fieldwork coordination and timely completion.
• Apply GAAP to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Research complex accounting and audit matters and document findings clearly.
• Review audit workpapers for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Engage with senior client stakeholders to identify risks and provide insights.
• Drive client service excellence and foster long-term client relationships.
• Support client growth and retention through strategic planning.
• Mentor assurance professionals and develop the team.
• Manage resources, budgets, and project workflows.
• Maintain CPD to stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Represent the firm at industry events and networking forums.
