Job summary

DGI Supply is seeking an Account Manager to grow an established territory in San Jose. You will call on engineers, maintenance, purchasing and other stakeholders to uncover needs and present compelling solutions. The role emphasizes both retaining key accounts and winning new business.

You'll build a robust pipeline, negotiate terms, deliver quotes, and coordinate with suppliers to maximize revenue. Travel within the region is expected, with a focus on profitability and long-term customer

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' outside sales experience.
• Metalworking/industrial/MRO experience required.
• Strong business acumen and proven sales record.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel often.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales and profit goals by expanding existing accounts and opening new opportunities.
• Build and maintain an opportunity pipeline to drive revenue.
• Use consultative selling; call on customers and present solutions.
• Identify productivity gains and cost savings for customers.
• Partner with suppliers; conduct joint sales calls.
• Prepare quotes and proposals; negotiate terms and close deals.
• Provide training to customers on new products.
• Report competitive conditions and customer feedback.
• Travel within assigned territory.
