Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an Account Manager for Newark, CA in the Contract Manufacturing, EMS, and OEM space. This role is a true hunter, focused on building relationships, identifying opportunities early, and closing complex deals.

The candidate will develop new business with CM/EMS/OEM clients, engage engineering and procurement stakeholders, and drive opportunities from prospecting to contract award. Travel within the region is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Proven success in business development within a B2B manufacturing environment.
Experience selling technical, engineered, industrial, automation, logistics, packaging, or custom manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities within Contract Manufacturers (CMs), EMS providers, OEMs, and related manufacturing organizations.
Build relationships with engineering, procurement, operations, supply chain, and executive stakeholders.
Engage customers early in the product development and sourcing process.
Drive opportunities from prospecting through quotation, negotiation, and contract award.
Partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, and program management teams to support customer needs.
Manage a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities and sales activity.
Monitor market trends and customer programs to identify future revenue opportunities.
Navigate complex buying groups and multi-site manufacturing organizations.
Support smooth handoff of awarded business to operational teams after launch.
