Job summary

The City of Dothan is seeking a manual and semi-skilled worker to maintain storm sewers, streets, and rights of way. You will lay pipe, dig trenches, pour concrete, and operate dump trucks under supervision.

Responsibilities include equipment operation, safety checks, daily logs, and on-site coordination. A valid driver license and CDL are preferred, with emphasis on dependable attendance and safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a standard senior-high school or GED equivalent.
• Six (6) months experience in underground utility work or asphalt/concrete is preferred.
• Ability to operate and maintain vehicles and heavy equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Lay pipes and trenches for storm sewers and ROW.
• Mix and pour concrete; construct catch basins and manholes.
• Operate dump truck, line truck, and other heavy equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools, equipment and vehicles.
• Follow safety policies; maintain attendance and perform overtime as needed.
