Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years' related experience or training involving equipment operation/road maintenance.
• Valid Alabama driver’s license and Alabama CDL.
• Must be 18+ years old; 20+ to operate City vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for streets, drainage, parks, and recreation facilities.
• Check/maintain inventory of tools and materials.
• Transport, load, unload materials and equipment used in projects.
• Perform road maintenance and repair tasks.
• Coordinate safety and monitor work environment.
• Assist with events, traffic control, and litter pickup.
• Prepare forms and reports; communicate with supervisor and public.
• Lead worker on site, guiding others.
