Job summary

Wayfair’s Birch Lane Stores is hiring an Operations & Visual Specialist to blend retail operations with curated home styling. You’ll manage stock, support visual merchandising, and coach team members to deliver a friendly, confident customer experience.

This role emphasizes inventory accuracy, store presentation, and proactive problem solving, with growth opportunities in a fast-paced home furnishings environment at a Wayfair Birch Lane location.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience; home/furnishings space preferred.
• Ability to read and execute a sales floor design layout or planogram experience preferred.
• Basic electrical wiring experience preferred.
• Experience in visual merchandising (lighting installations, wallpapering, furniture assembly) preferred.
• Passion for great customer service, operational excellence, and efficiency to meet company goals.
• Track record of thriving in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Strong organization, self-motivation, communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to handle customer escalations with professionalism and maturity.

Responsibilities

• Provide an authentic, friendly customer experience aligned with Wayfair commitments.
• Manage, maintain and monitor stock levels and ensure items are locatable for replenishment.
• Coach and support Operations/Visual Associates and assist with workload planning and keyholder duties.
• Drive customer service and maintain a strong store presence to boost sales.
• Train associates on product knowledge, selling, and service standards.
• Provide observation feedback and guidance to help teammates grow.
• Assist with visual merchandising tasks and maintain store visual standards and sign placements.
• Utilize sales analytics tools to support store profitability and growth.
• Engage customers with product options across in-store and online assortments to drive satisfaction.
• Assist walk-ins on the sales floor and in the design studio as needed.
• Contribute innovative ideas to improve team operations.
• Adapt to rapid changes in products and promotions.
