Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Manager of Retail Transformation to identify and implement cutting-edge strategies across our stores, enhancing customer experience and operating efficiency. You will partner with cross-functional teams to pilot initiatives, streamline processes, and align with business goals in a competitive auto parts market.

You will drive data-driven decisions, manage vendor relations, and oversee budgets to deliver ROI while supporting e-commerce and store network

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field – or equivalent business experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in retail operations, project management, or innovation roles
• Strong understanding of retail operations, supply chain, and customer service
• Proficient in data analysis, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with and influencing senior executives and building strong professional relationships.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects and client relationships.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected as part of the job performance and will need to rely on judgment and experience to accomplish goals

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies that enhance in-store and digital customer experiences.
• Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer behavior to identify opportunities for in-store transformation.
• Stay abreast of external developments to identify opportunities and threats.
• Leverage the Retail Product Team to design technology-based solutions for transformation and growth.
• Prepare and communicate recommendations regarding current retail customer opportunities to senior leadership.
• Utilize data analytics to track the impact of innovations on sales, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Engage with field leaders and store teams to drive change across the store network.
• Partner cross-functionally to pilot proof of concept programs for new retail technologies, processes, and services.
• Gather data from customers and store teams to measure success and refine initiatives.
• Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors or partners.
• Manage budgets for transformation projects and ensure ROI.
• Assess and integrate automation technologies to enhance efficiency.
• Support e-commerce strategies to complement in-store sales efforts.
• Develop change management programs to support adoption of new tools and practices.
• Drive prioritization of use cases and capability roadmaps aligned with long-term goals.
• Reduce operational costs through process improvement and/or technology adoption.
