Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Manager to support store leadership in sales, appearance and overall operations. You will supervise teams, assist with hiring, training, and safety, and help manage store profitability.

The role involves coordinating with management, participating in interviews, and ensuring excellent customer service. Strong computer skills and knowledge of automotive parts are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.
• O’Reilly store and/or distribution center experience.
• Completed O’Reilly management training program.
• Advanced computer skills.
• ASE Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising store and team operations.
• Supervise work performed by all team members assigned to store/HUB store.
• Recruit, test, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline and discharge team members under supervision.
• Communicate information to all team members from Zipline and monthly meetings.
• Train new team members; handle performance evaluations; recommend pay increases.
• Assist in hiring process: recruiting, interviews, candidate evaluation, and selection.
• Support Store Manager with safety compliance and training.
• Make sales calls with/without store manager; schedule weekly customer calls.
• Assist in store operations: accounting, daily reports, cash handling, security.
• Maintain delivery fleet: performance and records for each vehicle.
• Ensure staff keeps store/HUB neat, clean, and organized; payroll.
• Review monthly P&L with store manager; discuss opportunities.
• All other duties as assigned.
