Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Mason, Ohio. You will assist with daily activities and help ensure the store runs smoothly and safely.

The role requires strong communication, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to train and supervise Store Associates. You will participate in opening and closing procedures, maintain merchandise presentation, and uphold company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities and maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and managing payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines and ensure associates follow them.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
