Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Westerville, Ohio to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with opening/closing tasks, supervise daily activities, and help maintain stockrooms and sales floors to company standards. You will train and mentor Store Associates, ensure a positive customer experience, and uphold safety and policy guidelines while addressing questions or concerns from customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks (walking, standing, bending, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service and answer questions.
• Help organize merchandise and move stock from delivery to floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communicate store information to staff.
• Maintain displays and promotional fixtures for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged items, and basic cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and follow safety policies.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
