Job summary

Elder in Chattanooga is seeking a Store Team Leader to guide daily operations on the sales floor, ensure the store is well-stocked, neat, and clean, and deliver best-in-class assistance to customers.

The role requires at least one year of retail supervisory experience; forklift operation and physical tasks are part of the job.

You will open and close the store, manage freight, and support training and staff productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year retail experience in a supervisory role.
• Work experience in a hardware or home improvement store is a big plus.
• Physical tasks: standing, lifting up to 80 lbs, climbing, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provides exemplary leadership on the sales floor with emphasis on customer service.
• Opens and/or closes the store on a regular basis.
• Ensures the store is well-stocked, neat, and clean for Elder’s experience.
• Assists in training and enforces The Six E’s principles; may perform Training Coordinator duties.
• Completes four Duty Lists, promptly puts out freight, completes projects, and handles store-specific tasks.
• Drives forklift as needed.
