Job summary

Elder's ACE Hardware in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Store Leader to drive daily store operations and deliver best-in-class customer service. You will lead a team, manage tasks such as stocking, cashiering, loading, and cleaning, and ensure the store runs smoothly during shifts and in the manager's absence.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of retail supervisory experience, preferably in a hardware/home improvement setting, and is able to work one weekend day plus 1–2 evenings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year retail supervisory experience.
• Experience in hardware/home improvement is a plus.
• Able to work one weekend day and 1–2 evenings.
• Physical requirements: standing/walking, lifting up to 80lbs, and related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provides exemplary leadership on the sales floor with emphasis on customer service.
• Always projects a positive, enthusiastic view of Elder's.
• Helps keep staff focused on tasks such as four Duty Lists, putting out freight, and completing projects.
• Ensures customers are well served and staff productive when Store Manager is absent.
• Maintains at least one department at an exceptional level and opens/closes regularly.
• Stays current on personal development and training plans.
• Assists in training and enforces training principles as assigned.
