Job summary

Elder in Chattanooga is seeking a retail associate to unload trucks, stock shelves, assist customers, and execute daily store priorities under management direction.

The role requires 6 months to 1 year of retail experience, a HS diploma or GED preferred, bilingual Spanish a plus, and a valid driver’s license. Strong computer skills and data entry are beneficial, with focus on preventing shoplifting and accurate record keeping.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months–1 year of retail experience.
• Technically proficient in computer systems including related software.
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.
• Possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise as arranged by management.
• Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals/priorities assigned by store manager move with your Ace Pace.
• Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
• Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.
• Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder’s policy, that will discourage shoplifting.
• Excellent customer service and interaction prevents shoplifting.
• Respond to radio requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
