Job summary

Chico's FAS, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving a customer- and product-focused sales culture, optimizing profitability and operations. The role covers payroll, asset protection, and human resources, while delivering the most amazing personal service to customers.

The candidate will train and coach the team on product knowledge, inventory processes, and brand standards, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience and store excellence.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail management experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills.
• Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
• Proven excellent customer service skills with a track record in sales and leadership.
• Strong leadership, training and team-building skills.
• Regular attendance is essential to meet objectives.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes sales reports and KPIs to determine business needs and helps execute in-store sales strategies.
• Establishes clear expectations and accountability for brand, performance, and behavior standards.
• Controls payroll and supply budget; manages cash handling and price changes.
• Performs scheduling, audits, inventory, opening/closing duties, and payroll accuracy documents.
• Ensures compliance with policies, loss prevention, and training on controls.
• Manages inventory receipt/dispatch, replenishment, and physical inventories.
• Maintains visual presentation and store organization to reflect the brand.
• Develops a high-performance culture; motivates the team to meet sales goals.
• Trains and coaches staff on product knowledge and locate fulfillment.
