Job summary

Lidl in New York seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in coaching the team and delivering Lidl’s low-price, high-quality shopping experience. You will take ownership of store performance, lead daily operations, and ensure excellent customer service while maintaining a proactive leadership style.

You will be involved in hands-on tasks, from merchandising and cash handling to stock and cleanliness, while fostering development and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 1–2 years of management experience OR a bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to lift, move, carry, or slide product over 50 pounds.
• The ability to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to reach their full potential daily.
• Provide excellent customer service and be the main point of contact for customer needs.
• Monitor and improve store KPIs.
• Lead promotions and routine re-merchandising.
• Support cash handling, stock, cleaning, and other store duties.
• Maintain a safe, productive working environment per policies and procedures.
