Job summary

Lidl US is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in developing and coaching the store team. You’ll help drive our high‑quality, low‑price shopping experience and own store performance through leadership and hands‑on operation.

You’ll also ensure a safe and productive work environment while meeting store targets. Responsibilities include leading the team, delivering excellent customer service, and coordinating merchandising and cash management.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of management experience OR a bachelor’s degree
• Strong leadership and team-development abilities
• Excellent customer service and de-escalation skills
• Comfort with physical store operations (stocking, cleaning, ringing)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and reach above 10 inches
• ServSafe certification required or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Store Manager to lead and motivate the team to work to their full potential every day
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the store and be the lead point of contact for all customer needs
• Monitor and drive continuous improvement of store KPIs
• Lead essential team projects, such as weekly promotional store sets and routine re‑merchandising
• Provide hands‑on support for all other operational tasks, including cash management, working stock, cleaning, and other essential store functions
• Ensure a safe, positive, and productive working environment for all store employees based on company and legal policies and procedures
