Job summary

Lidl US is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in New York to support the Store Manager in developing and coaching the store team. You will drive excellent customer service, lead team projects, and ensure store KPIs are improved while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

You should be ready to participate in daily store operations, including stocking and ringing. A 21+ age requirement and 1–2 years of management experience or a bachelor’s degree are expected, with ServSafe

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 1–2 years of management experience OR a bachelor’s degree.
• Determination to complete every to-do list on time and hit store targets.
• Experience in leading and developing a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills, including de-escalation abilities.
• Willingness to participate in daily physical store operations (stocking, cleaning, ringing).
• Ability to lift, move, carry, or slide product over 50 pounds.
• Ability to reach above head to heights greater than 10 inches.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to reach their full potential daily.
• Provide excellent customer service and be the lead point of contact for customer needs.
• Monitor and drive improvement of store KPIs.
• Lead essential team projects like weekly promotional store sets and routine re-merchandising.
• Provide hands-on support for cash management, stock, cleaning, and other store functions.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and productive work environment according to policies.
